Commercial Cooking NCIV under TESDA Competency Based Program

The Superior Diploma is an advantage program unlike any other as it builds up on the fundamentals of Culinary and Baking Pastry Arts learned during the Grand Diploma. It is a four-level program that runs for 4 months covering Cuisines of the World to expand their palates and knowledge. The most distinguishable aspect of this course is the incorporation of modern cooking, which was brought about by the changing culinary landscape. Students will learn advanced techniques  with the use of cutting edge technology. At the end of each level, students will have learn how to plan, prepare and execute different kinds of events that simulates real world scenarios that happen in the culinary industry.

The program transforms the graduates of a culinary school into a sophisticated global cook ready to work under the world's best chefs. Graduates of Superior Diploma get competitive advantage on the current global industry, as they become fully equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to survive and compete with how the world's best kitchen operate in creating new tastes, flavors, texture and aroma using various progressive cooking techniques and modern technology.

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS  (Only Global Academy students and graduates will be accepted for the first batch.)

FOR CURRENT GRAND DIPLOMA STUDENTS:

  1. New application folder with 2x2 id picture (application fee is waived for the first batch only)
  2. Clearance form (to be given to student, which will then be given to the academic assistant of the branch they came from. The academic assistant will then forward this clearance to EL Marketing Assistant)
  3. Must be a Grand Diploma student. Certificate students are not allowed.
  4. Students with past disciplinary cases are not allowed.
  5. Must enroll within the 6 months grace period of the Internship department.

FOR GRAND DIPLOMA ALUMNI:

  1. New application folder with 2x2 id picture (P2,000 application fee applies)
  2. Clearance form (to be given to student, which will then be given to the academic assistant of the branch they came from. The academic assistant will then forward this clearance to EL Marketing Assistant)
  3. Medical Certificate from Healthway (P1,500 for medical voucher)
  4. Must be a Grand Diploma student. Certificate students are not allowed.
  5. No outstanding balances from Finance for past courses and fees.
  6. Students with past disciplinary cases are not allowed.

NOTE: In order to get a Superior Diploma, students need to pass their 600 hours of Internship required for Grand Diploma or else they will only be given a Certificate for both courses. If the student is for internship placement but decided to take Superior Diploma, he/she may take the course first before the internship. This may be possible as long as all requirements are settled and the request to reschedule internship placement is approved by the Internship Department.
