Senior Chef de Partie, Beach Blanket Babylon,
Notting Hill, London, United Kingdom
Camille signed up for the Grand Diploma in Culinary, Baking and Pastry Arts program in 2014, hoping she could set up her own restaurant right after graduation.
Since her internship, work opportunities have opened up for Camille, and she isn’t one to turn them down. “You will never understand how a kitchen works if you’ve never been in one. I still want to set up my dream restaurant. But for now, I want to learn, and that’s what I will do.”
Camille believes that her Global Academy education prepared her professionally, emotionally and mentally to thrive as a female chef in a male-dominated European kitchen. As senior chef de partie, she teaches, does demonstrations and oversees junior chefs with confidence.
“It’s a challenge to work with experienced chefs in a foreign land. But because of what Global Academy instilled in me–and the inspiration I got from my chef instructors–I am able to glide through the daily challenges that come with the job.”
